This training focuses on the supervisor’s role in the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) referral process. The goal is to present the EAP as an effective, preventive resource for employees whose work performance may be impacted by personal problems. The workshop covers the basics of the EAP, including how to make referrals, techniques for reaching out to employees with support, and handling different reactions employees may exhibit when approached. It also addresses obstacles to successful interventions and the dangers of enabling. Additional fees may apply.
